Hi There.
Over these past few years, I think many of us have found ourselves reevaluating what is important — at personal or professional forks in the road. Forks in the Road is born from my own standing in between what I was doing and what else was possible. After 20+ years slinging swag, I found myself gravitating toward the parts of my job and my life that I love the most — forming meaningful relationships, creating, gardening, my partner, playing with my four dogs, building things, and mostly…cooking. Community and conversation have become the drivers to go in my own new culinary direction.
My Story
Cooking has always been part of my DNA. I was always in the kitchen as a child, whether it was watching, stirring the pot, sautéing for the holidays or cooking special meals for myself when I moved away from home. I have always loved cooking for friends and family, seeing their expressions of delight as they take a bite and savoring the conversations that always happen around the table. For me, cooking has been one of my longest, and most joyful relationships in my life.

In our current world, we have an extensive level of divisiveness. A few years ago I had a conversation with a couple people across significant political differences which had a profound effect on me, then another and then another. The primary take away was the importance of staying in conversation. To listen. To find commonalities. It prompted my quest to find ways to bring people together--and food unites us all.
